Partial Hospitalization Program

Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Prairie St. John’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is appropriate for patients who have mild to moderate mental, emotional, and/or substance use disorders who require coordinated, intensive, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary treatment. PHP is appropriate for patients who are able to maintain themselves in the community at a minimum to moderate level of functioning and those who present no immediate threat to themselves or others. PHP also is beneficial for patients who are making a transition from inpatient care back into the community or can be a supplement to the recovery process for patients who have failed to respond adequately to standard weekly outpatient therapy.

The average length of stay varies between three to four weeks. Programming includes group therapy and individual sessions with a nurse practitioner or a psychiatrist. PHP is held Monday through Friday from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and lunch is provided as part of the program.

To schedule a no cost assessment 24 hours a day/7 days a week, please call 701-476-7200.
