Treatment for Adults

Prairie St. John’s provides inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP or day treatment) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults age 18 and older who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis or dual diagnosis.

Adult treatment components

Treatment for each adult is administered by a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals led by a psychiatrist. Team members may include:

  • Psychiatrists
  • Nurses
  • Mental health therapists
  • Social workers
  • Activity therapists
  • Substance use counselors

The treatment process begins with a comprehensive evaluation to help diagnose any underlying medical or biochemical origins of disease. An individualized plan of care is written to meet the special needs of each patient.
