Marikay Luzier has more than 12 years experience as a LicensedAddiction Counselor. Before coming to Prairie St. John’s, she was an Addictions Counselor for the South Dakota Department of Human Services – Division of Alcohol and Drugs with specific experience in the prison system. “I take a client-centered, cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy, giving my clients an opportunity to gain an understanding of addiction and the skills needed to move into recovery. I work in the field of addictions because I have an attitude of hope and belief in wellness.” Her attitude is one she shares with her clients at Prairie. Away from work, Marikay enjoy scrapbooking, reading
and time with family.
