Prairie St John's - Linda Frendin

As Nursing Director, Linda Frendin leads all nursing staff at Prairie St. John’s, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians. She plans and manages care provided on nursing units, maintaining 24 hour accountability and ensuring quality patient care. Additionally, she is responsible for administration, professional development, fiscal management, quality assurance and healthcare and nursing research. She is also the lead in guiding the Prairie St. John’s Psychiatric Nursing Fellowship. Linda brings many years of nursing experience to Prairie St. John’s. She has worked in long-term care and acute medical settings but her passion is to work with patients who are suffering from psychiatric conditions and addictions. “I believe in the need to treat the whole person: their physical, mental, social and spiritual elements. Psychiatric Nursing follows that belief and addresses the totality of each individual.” In 2008, Linda was honored as the March of Dimes Behavioral Health Nurse of the Year. Linda enjoys antiquing, quilting, home remodeling/building and time with her family.
